VIC/TAS Regional Conference, 23 July 2010 RACV Healesville Country Club, Healesville The RVA VIC/TAS Annual Conference was held on 23 July 2010 with over 110 attendees voting it the best so far. The program featured a variety of outstanding speakers and industry experts offering real solutions, up-to-date advice and practical tools for village managers in their day to day operations. The program highlighted issues that are relevant to today’s retirement village manager with topics on village budgets, accreditation, new consumer laws, operational initiatives, sales & marketing, and planning & development. Well known Australian television personality, George Kapiniaris was the MC for the event. He kept delegates entertained when he imitated his Greek Aunty, a prospective resident in a retirement village, who came to visit in the afternoon and shared some of her pet peeves and life history. “Very well organized, well done to the staff at RVA.”
